 ‘Blackbird Sing’ art journal page

Our focus in this class is on alcohol inks, quick and easy backgrounds and DIY tissue paper. This is a mixed media page that uses the products that we have become familiar with.

We will explore a fun way to use our alcohol inks, creating a beautiful, easy and fun background that will leave you wanting to do it again and again.

Carabelle Studio stamps are the highlight on this page as we use them not only for the main image but also to make our own tissue paper for the background.

WHEN: Saturday September 1st 

TIME: Morning session  10.30 to 12.30  OR

afternoon session  1.30 to 3.30

·        Distress Crayons: black soot, blueprint sketch,

 salty ocean, mowed lawn, 

fossilized amber/mustard seed  (opt)

·        Archival Ink:  Fern Green, Hydrangea, Jet Black (opt)

·        Black fine-liner, white gel pen

·        Tissue paper

·        Paper Towel

·        Heat Tool

·        Chit Chat Stickers

·        Baby Wipes

·        Water Mister

·        Fan brush, paint brush (medium)

Card: 

·        Glossy card (not photo card), black card for mounting. (supplied)

Stamping platform is optional.
