Challenge Winner

Congratulations to our final challenge winner for 2011. The title of the page is "Where The River Runs"
It was a very close vote as customers were torn between numbers B and D making the votes even. I left the 2 pages up for another week without saying anything and the eventual winner was B...so if you recognise your page make sure you call in to collect your prize pack....

Product Review Fiskars Surecut

Hi it's Shelley here,

I just wanted to share my thoughts with you on a new trimmer I have recently tried. I had been eying it off in the shop for a few weeks....... and finally gave in to my inner shopping demons. Well....... I'm very pleased I did. After 10 years of scrapping I have finally found a trimmer I REALLY LOVE.

So, why do I love it so much??

Firstly I LOVE the fact that it has a guide wire EXACTLY where you are going to cut, so if you are sight challenged like myself you can see the whole length of the cut. Perfect every time.

It also has a work area that is slightly bigger than the average trimmer on the market.

Thirdly it is very lightweight which makes it easy for me to carry around from shop to home and crops and so forth.

Other usual perks such as blade replacements and clear measurements make this trimmer a must have to any scrapper or card making enthusiast.

Currently we are selling this trimmer at $49.95 until stocks last. RRP $55.95.

Girls Day In....

On Saturday Create On Ormond held its inaugural "Girls Day In" fundraiser for women's cancers and it was a great success thanks to the many kind and compassionate customers we have. The day was centered around the "copic marker" and what it can do for you! Kristina Flynn our copic certified instructor gave our students a really good taste for the capabilities of the markers. They used the blender refill in an aqua brush on 1 design, a compressor on another and heat embossing and refills on the 3rd....at the end of the class the students got to relax with a beautifully catered 'High Tea" served up with asparagus rolls, butterfly sandwiches, cupcakes, mini cakes and more thanks to Helen Forrest and her creative culinary flair...and then to top it off the door prize consisting of 12 copic markers (valued at $78.00) was drawn and went to Ms Peta Ferrier who had made the trip from Warrnambool to be here!!

In conjunction with the day Create On Ormond has been running a raffle and a coin jar for customers loose change to help raise money for our $250.00 goal to give to the charity. Our 3 major raffle prizes came from some of the local East Geelong traders namely Grandmas Bottom Drawer, Reef & River, The Last Piece, Gallery of Enlightenment, Remedial Massage and donations from our wonderful customers namely Kerry Taylor. I know a lot of you will be wanting to know the result of the raffle that was drawn by Kristina in front of the class today and the winners are!

1. Debbie Johnston

2. Jacqui Cordedda

3. Mary Mitchell

Congratulations to all the winners today we hope you enjoy your prizes and support the local traders for their terrific generosity......

Many thanks girls for an enjoyable day and most importantly we superceded our goal and raised $337.30.....great job everyone.
