Mixed Media Class

Hello everyone it's been a while since our last blog and the reason being that  we have been very busy creating and organising wonderful and varied papercraft  classes for you to do.
Scrapbooking and craft in general has a funny way of bringing people together. Last week I met Ruth, a wonderful lady from Adelaide (my home town) and after chatting for a while we discovered we went to the same school at the same time, she was even in my brothers year!  Ruth started scrapping 13 years ago and had her own shop in Adelaide for 3 years. Due to health reasons she had to give the shop up and so continued her addiction to scrapbooking from home where she continues to teach. Ruth describes her style as Shabby Chic/vintage as she  favours everything old worldly and is drawn to colours tones and textures of this look and her other love is dimension.....
Many of you have commented on our Mixed Media Canvas in the shop and would love to learn how this technique is accomplished, so I have been trying to find someone to help you out and guess what Ruth can do!!!
Yes Ruth has created a canvas titled "A stroll in the park" and it is a fantastic introduction to using Mixed Media to create a scene. Ruth is only in Geelong for a short time so please try and get along to either class and learn from a lady with a wealth of experience and a lovely personality to boot.

Hello fellow scrappers, my name is Ruth and I am from Adelaide, married to the love of my life Roger, we have 2 wonderful children and a very spoilt 12 yr old boxer Storme.
I started scrapbooking about 13 years ago when one of my daughters girlfriends introduced me to it and I haven't looked back since. Roger and myself have always been photo mad and have boxes of albums full of all out memories. So put that together with all the amazing scrapbooking papers and goodies what do you get..SCRAPBOOKING!!And with that, I am addicted.Rogers job keeps him away from home most of the year so about 2 years ago Storme and myself started travelling with him and I have been  teaching along the way, and on this jopurneyt I have met some wonderful ladies and have made some great friend. My place to share the things that have been going on and what I,m working on or what I've finished is so please drop by and I do love comments so please feel free to leave one.
One last thing I would like to thank Marisa for giving me the opportunity to hold a class at her lovely country cottage hideaway and to meet some more talented ladies.
