Art Journaling Classes

New to Create On Ormond, we will be holding a nine week Art Journaling Series.

Starting in term 2 the classes will include many, many art/mixed media supplies such as gesso, gelato's, distress stains and  pan pastels just to name a few....

Cassie's original Butterfly Texture Canvas was published in a scrapbooking magazine today. This is Cassie's first ever publication!

Below is a photo Cassie took of the canvas at home which shows the Vintage Pink Glimmermist background in a much truer light. You too can create a gorgeous canvas like this by coming to class!

Below Cassie has made another pink canvas but using a vintage photo of her grandparents wedding day. 

You can use any Glimmermist you like to create the background colour, it doesn't have to be pink. Cassie has also created this green canvas below. 

 It highlights one special photo in a setting filled with resins, flowers and texture. You will learn how to achieve this background, colour co ordinate your embellishments and discover how to attach all of this to your canvas.
The coloured background can be changed to suit your home decor, we have chosen an olive green glimmer mist but it really works with any colour you choose.....
the class kit includes your canvas and embellishments, you will need to provide texture paste and glimmer mist spray. (available in store) and 1 photo

French Country Decor

With the new Graphic 45 Collection 'French Country' instore, Cassie just couldn't resist these gorgeous images and had to have a play! 

Cassie has used one of the Canvas Corp 12x12 Burlap Canvases as a shadowbox to create a kitchen decor piece. The frayed burlap on the back of the canvas just adds to the country feel of the Graphic 45 papers. 

Cassie has added Spanish Moss to the bottom inside of the shadowbox to keep the texture and feel of country flowing as well as some Kaisercraft Eggs. 

Lots of dimension has been added using multiple layers of foam tape. Cassie has painted the edges of the foam tape brown so they dont stick out and blend nicely in with the papers. 

Cassie has also altered some yellow daisy flowers from Spotlight with Tim Holtz Distress Stain and Alcohol Inks to create Sunflowers. 

To make sure the papers have adhered to the burlap and will last the distance Cassie has used Gel Medium to adhere the papers to the Burlap Canvas. Once dried a coat of Claudine Hellmuth Multi Medium Matte has been painted over the top. 

We hope this inspires you to create some decor for your home with these stunning papers. All products used to create this piece are available instore.
